This year’s IBM TechXchange has come to an end, and Compose IT participated both as attendees and speakers. It was an inspiring week filled with new knowledge, engaging discussions, and valuable meetings.
Throughout the week, we joined several forums together with customers and partners to discuss the ongoing development of both AIOps and Netcool. We also had the opportunity to exchange experiences and share insights around various use cases and implementations.
The technology area Unified Operations (including, among others, Netcool and AIOps) and Observability (such as Network and Application Performance Management) were even more in focus this year. It’s clear that IBM continues to invest heavily in this space – with Instana, SevOne, AIOps, and Netcool as key components in their strategy going forward.
The week also brought several news updates from IBM – here are some of the highlights:
- IBM and Anthropic announced a new collaboration.
- Unified Observability is taking the next step as interfaces for Concert, Turbonomic, and Instana (initially) are being integrated. This will first be available in the SaaS versions, and on-premises in 2026.
- Developers were not forgotten – IBM introduced “Bob”, a new AI-driven development environment focused on Agentic AI and MCP integration.
- AI, and particularly Agentic AI and MCP, were recurring themes across most of IBM’s product roadmaps and presentations.
Additionally, Niklas Håkansson from Compose IT participated as a speaker at the event, presenting how Compose IT are modernizing Netcool with Compose Operation Platform, (COP), contributing with automation and more efficient operations.
We also had several meetings with IBM’s product management teams – including those for SevOne, AIOps, Netcool, and Instana – giving us valuable insight into future roadmaps and strategy. We’ll share more about this in upcoming posts on our website and in discussions with our customers.
In summary, we take away a clear message: Unified Operations and Observability are key success factors for achieving control, efficiency, and insight in modern technical environments.
