The view below is used in NOC/SOC (Network/Security Operations Center) environments to:
- Identify bottlenecks and traffic spikes on critical network links
- Predict capacity needs by analyzing historical trends
- Proactively manage QoS (Quality of Service) and network optimization
- Automate alarm handling and incident response based on defined thresholds.
The system can be advantageously integrated with IBM AIOps or other event management platforms for correlation of alarms and incidents.

Interface Components:
- Left Panel – Top List of Most Loaded Interfaces
- Displays a hierarchical list of devices and their network interfaces
- Columns include:
- Device Name: The network device (e.g. router or switch)
- Object Name: Interface or port on the device
- Indicator: Monitored parameter (e.g. HC OutOctets for outbound traffic)
- Peak Utilization %: Maximum observed load in the most recent measurement interval.
- Upper Right Panel – Time Series Graph of Performance Metrics
- Visualizes the most loaded interfaces in a top-N format based on historical traffic data
- The graph displays metrics as percentage interface utilization over time
- The metrics are likely collected via SNMP polling, and are presented in an aggregated form over fixed time intervals
- Lower Right Panel – Detailed Table View
- Displays a summary of real-time data per device and interface
- Example columns:
- Device & Object: Router/switch and specific interface
- Indicator: For example HC InOctets / HC OutOctets (for high-capacity octet counting according to SNMPv2/v3)
- Polling Interval: Sampling period for data collection
- Utilization (%): Current utilization
- Traffic Volume: Summarized data traffic per unit of time.
