IBM started up in EMEA in the Automation business area at the beginning of September. In line with the partner strategy that IBM is now working with, both internal IBMers and partners were invited.
It is clear that the long-term investment in Watson and AI technology has now become a real part of IBM’s products.
In addition to Watson AIOps, the Automation area also consists of Integration, Network Automation and Business Automation. It is an investment that is clearly aimed at focusing on data and the systems that handle data. With AI both the systems are stabilized and the possibility of releasing information from the data will provide enormous opportunities.
Compose IT naturally focused on Automation of IT and Operation. During the day, we went through the portfolio and strategy around how IBM’s solutions Instana, Turbonomic, SevOne and Watson AIOps work together to offer a complete solution for both traditional IT and Cloud technology.
As a long-term partner of IBM, we’re really looking forward to how these products will interact and think it’s really fun to see modern solutions like Instana and Turbonomic complement the portfolio.
I would like to take the opportunity to strike an extra blow for Turbonomic in particular. Turbo is a unique solution that optimizes the infrastructure regardless of whether it concerns data centers or the Cloud. The customers who already use Turbonomic testify to savings of 30% of data center capacity and even more in their Cloud. This by finding which applications really need resources and which have oversized infrastructure. This should be interesting for everyone, not least from an environmental and energy point of view.
